Eligibility conditions

• The parcel must have a hedgerow boundary, or scrub cover close by (usually within ~200m)

What you'll do

A supplement to CLIG3 (very low nutrient grassland), for parcels with a hedgerow or nearby scrub: graze lightly through the growing season with cattle (or cattle and sheep) to leave a varied mix of shorter and taller grass. Don't cut it for hay or silage.

Evidence to keep

• Stocking records at parcel level
• Field operation records, with invoices
• Dated photos showing the varied sward
