When can I apply for SFI 2026?
You need at least 3ha of agricultural land linked to your SBI to apply at all — but there is no minimum on the area you choose to enter into your SFI 2026 application. A farm with 50ha or less agricultural land counts as a small farm for Window 1.
Window 1 (June)
Opens 30 June 2026
Small farms (≤50ha agricultural land), or farms with no existing ELM revenue agreement. Open ~2 months, or until the £60m budget is allocated.
Window 2 (September)
Opens September 2026
All farms. Opens September 2026 (exact date not yet published).
