Eligibility conditions
- Below the moorland line
- Registered 'fully organic' with a Defra-licensed organic control body
- Top fruit or bush fruit grown as a commercial crop, not used to produce alcoholic drinks
What you'll do
Keep an already-organic top-fruit orchard under organic management — protect the trees from grazing stock and pests and manage weeds around the bases — meeting your Defra-licensed control body's organic standards.
Evidence to keep
- A valid organic certificate and schedule covering the action
- Field operation records at parcel level, with invoices
- Fruit sale receipts (commercial production)
