Eligibility conditions

• Below the moorland line, on land with low sensitivity to agroforestry (blue areas on the Forestry Commission map)
• An average of 51–130 trees per ha with potential canopy cover under 20%
• Areas with historic or archaeological features are ineligible

What you'll do

Maintain an established low-density in-field agroforestry system (at least 51 trees/ha) on less sensitive land — replace dead trees to hold the density, protect them from livestock and pests, manage weeds around them, and prune as they establish.

Evidence to keep

• Field operation records at parcel level, with invoices
• Dated photos of the trees and their protection
• A record of any tree replacement
