- More than 80% of total GLU must be 'at risk' UK native breeds, registered pedigree or heritage semi-feral
What you'll do
A supplement to an extensive grazing, moorland, scrub or organic rough-grazing base action (AGF1, AGF2, UPL1, UPL2, UPL3, UPL8, UPL10, SCR2 or OFM3): keep more than 80% of the grazing livestock units as registered rare or native breeds.
Evidence to keep
- Monthly grazing records at parcel level
- Animal IDs with breed registration documentation
- Proof of provenance and parentage, and records of any replacements
This is a supplement to
- AGF1 — Maintain very low density (30–50 trees/ha) in-field agroforestry, less sensitive land
- AGF2 — Maintain low density (51–130 trees/ha) in-field agroforestry, less sensitive land
- UPL1 — Moderate livestock grazing on moorland
- UPL2 — Low livestock grazing on moorland
- UPL3 — Limited livestock grazing on moorland
- UPL8 — Shepherding livestock on moorland (remove stock ≥4 months)
- UPL10 — Shepherding livestock on moorland (remove stock ≥8 months)
- SCR2 — Manage scrub and open habitat mosaics
- OFM3 — Organic land management — enclosed rough grazing
